Happy 420! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on which side of the line you stand) I live in a state that has not legalized recreational marijuana.
Now…if I were a user of marijuana, I would say that a great place to visit is Denver, Colorado. I would say that there are a few spots in the downtown area, one particularly called The Greenery. I would tell you that this is an awesome little place that you check in on the first floor, leave your ID with the receptionist, ride the elevator to the second floor, and await your turn for the salespeople to guide you through the buds, diffusers, and edibles. Luckily, I do not smoke weed, so I can’t tell you all of these things. Anyway…here are a few pics from our trip…
If you do get a chance to visit Denver, definitely hit a spot called Habit Doughnut Dispensary. No weed involved…but they infuse liquors into their doughnuts. So yummy!
Even though my state has not legalized recreational marijuana, it seems that every few miles there is a CBD joint (pun intended). Naturally, think about ways to infuse CBD into cocktails. Calm down prudes! Quality CBD products should have no trace of THC, which is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana that gets you high. Although the research is still ongoing, there are many claimed benefits to using CBD including relieving pain, reducing anxiety and depression, alleviating cancer related symptoms, and reducing acne.
With these claims, many companies began to jump into the CBD beverage market. Now it’s on trend to develop and sell different variations of CBD infused drinks. Here are a few that, by name and packaging alone, piqued my interest. Click the links to discover!
- DWiiNK By Mike Tyson
- Mad Tasty Sparkling Water
- Feelz
- Kona Gold Hemp Energy Drinks
- Oki CBD Iced Tea
- Civilized Coffee Company
- The Roasterie CBD Coffee
My next adventure will be ordering one of these items and giving it a permanent home in my cocktail mixing recipes. I also plan on grabbing some CBD oil and infusing it into my simple syrup. Today, I am making boozy CBD gummies…that should be interesting.
